Using a mouse on a mouse pad makes the experience so much better than just gliding your mouse on a table, however over time, any mouse pad can get dirty with dust and dirt from the day to day use. An average desk hosts over 20,000 germs per square inch, the last thing you want is the even more filt in your work area.
Cleaning the mousepad is a good place to start if you are planning to make over your workspace.
It's simple, just get water and soap or detergent. These basic material effectively cleans dirt or oil from your clothes and body, it would be as effective on a mousepad.
Warning! Please do not attempt to wet clean any RGB or Wireless Charging mousepad unless you have already fully removed the electronics within your mousepad, a dry microfiber cloth and lint roller would do you wonders instead.
Here are 4 simple steps to clean your mouse pad:
- Fill a bowl or tub with cold water and soak your mouse pad. Use a gentle shampoo or hand soap to gently clean the surface.
- Scrub your mouse pad with a soft bristle brush. Be gentle or you could cause damage!
- Rinse away the soap using cold water, making sure there are no suds on the front or back.
- Pat your mouse pad dry with a towel. Give it the rest of the day before you use it again to ensure itβs completely dry.
